Popp í Reykjavík (Pop in Reykjavik) is a film about the vibrant Icelandic music culture of the late '90s. It was released in 1998 and features interviews and concert footage of promising Icelandic bands like Gusgus, Bellatrix, Maus, Ensími, Quarashi, Botnleðja and Sigur Rós.

A dramatized documentary about the capital of Iceland, Reykjavík. The city is seen through the eyes of a visitor, a Canadian girl of Icelandic descent, who marvels at the many charms and peculiarities of Reykjavík. The film was made on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the city.

A woman is brutally murdered in front of her young daughter, the sole witness to the crime. The challenging case is assigned to Detective Huldar, who must unravel a web of perplexing clues while dealing with a traumatized child who has been rendered mute. To help unlock the girl's memories, Huldar seeks the expertise of a child psychologist-only to discover it's Freyja, a woman he recently had an awkward date with. Forced to collaborate, Freyja and Huldar must race against time to stop a killer who strikes again and remains perilously close.

The Film deeply reflects a music genre that the general public knows little about but nearly everyone has participated in, one way or the other.
